The 1826 ‘laureate head’ variety UK farthing obverse features the wreathed head of King George IV facing left. The surrounding legend reads: ‘GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA’, with the date below, between cinquefoils.

The reverse shows a helmed Britannia seated facing right, holding a trident, hand resting on a shield, with a rose, thistle, and shamrock in the exergue. The surrounding legend reads: ‘BRITANNIAR: REX FID: DEF:’.
