Egypt 25 Piastres, 1985

The Central Bank of Egypt issued Egyptian Pound banknotes in 9 different denominations, including this 25 Piastres banknote Egypt (1980-1984 issue). They are part of the withdrawn Egyptian Pound banknotes series. The Central Bank of Egypt started issuing these 0.25 Egyptian Pound banknotes in 1980. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1985.

This twenty-five piastres bill shows the Al-Sayida Aisha Mosque in Cairo, Egypt. On the 0.25 Egyptian pound banknote a caption reads ‘central bank of Egypt’.
