2005 Australia 20 cent End of WW2

The 2005 commemorative Australia Twenty cent issue celebrates the 60th Anniversary of World War II – Coming Home.

Featuring the 4th portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, with lettering ‘ELIZABETH II’, ‘AUSTRALIA 2005’ and the engraver’s initials ‘IRB’.

On the reverse, an Australian Soldier wearing slouch hat returned home after WWII embracing his wife and daughter, with the lettering ‘WORLD WAR 1939-1945 COMING HOME’, and the denomination below.
