2001 Australia 20 cent VIC

The 2001 commemorative Australia Twenty cent issue celebrates the Centenary of Federation of Victoria.

Featuring theĀ 4th portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, with lettering ‘ELIZABETH II’, ‘AUSTRALIA 2001’ and the engraver’s initials ‘IRB’.

On the reverse, the mage of the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne with Australian Flag flying from the dome. Surrounded on both sides by sprigs of Common Heath flowers the floral emblem of Victoria, with the lettering ‘CENTENARY OF FEDERATION’, ‘1901, 2001’, and the engraver’s initials ‘RDL MAK’, followed by the denomination.
