1986 Haley’s Comet Pewter Medallion

Dr Edmond Halley (B. 1656, D.1742) first identified the comet in 1682. Appearing every 76 years, the last time Halley’s Comet was visible from earth was in 1986. This oxidised silver or pewter 32mm medallion features a bust of Dr Halley on obverse and the Comet over Australia on the reverse, struck by Amors.
