1957 Half Penny

The 1957 UK halfpenny obverse features the laureate bust of young Queen Elizabeth II facing right, with the surrounding legend:

‘+ELIZABETH-II-DEI-GRATIA-REGINA-F:D:’

The reverse shows a depiction of Sir Francis Drake’s galleon, the ‘Golden Hind’ on rough seas. The words ‘HALF PENNY’ are above the main design, and the date is below.
