1951 Australia One Penny

The 1951 Australian penny obverse features the bare head of King George VI facing left, with the following surrounding legend:

 ‘GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX FIDEI DEF.’

The reverse shows a kangaroo in motion facing left, with the date below the tail, KG above the tail, and a star below the chest.  Above is the word ‘AUSTRALIA’, and below the word ‘PENNY’ and the mint mark ‘PL’ for the London mint.
