1939 US One Dime

The 1939 United States One Dime features an allegory of Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap (freedom of thought) surrounded with the word “LIBERTY” and accompanied with the motto: “IN GOD WE TRUST” with date beneath.

The reverse features a fasces mixed with an olive branch shows both that the United States is prepared for the war and its desire for peace. It is accompanied with the motto “E • PLURIBUS UNUM” and surrounded with the face value and the lettering “UNITED • STATES • OF • AMERICA”.
