The reverse shows the words ‘ONE SHILLING’ and the Australian Coat of Arms. A kangaroo and an emu hold a shield, with a star above.
Below is a scroll with the words ‘ADVANCE AUSTRALIA’, the date underneath, then the mint mark ‘M’ for Melbourne.
